So, I’m thinking the title to this post may have given away any element of surprise. BUT I’m thrilled that I’ve a (fabulously) simple competition for you, from the super kind folk at Currys.
I’ve got THIS compact digital camera to give away, a Samsung compact digital camera (PL121), to one of you lovelies and to be in with a chance of winning all you have to do is answer this simple question (in the comments to this post):
How many compact digital cameras do you think Currys has listed on its website?

- 95
- 105
To help you, you could click the link above or you could just guess (up to 3 times)… (and the number may vary over the two weeks, so let’s round to the nearest number)
The RULES: This competition will run until 3PM 2 July 2012. There’s no cash alternative and it’s UK entries only (sorry!). All correct entries will be placed in a hat, a small child will select a winner and that decision is final. Individuals cannot enter more than 3 times each (if you do, I’ll stamp my feet).

Okay, someone said that some of the cameras listed are duplicates but in different colours. So my second guess is 95.
And I might as well cover all bases, so just in case there are loads of duplicates, or that Curry’s has a massive camera cull over the next week, my third guess is 85.
I guess that’s it then.

Guess #1: 105 (as they have 102). It’s different colours, but if Currys count each colour as a camera in its own right, then I’ll do that too (for competition purposes). So blue X1 and red X1 are separate cameras; i.e. 2.
