I am ABSOLUTELY thrilled to have been invited to be part of Storyville: Women Writers Festival at Brighton Dome.
“The festival includes readings, Meet The Author & In Conversation events with Jackie Kay, Bonnie Greer, Ali Smith, Lionel Shriver, Aminatta Forna, Roma Tearne, Emma Henderson, Justine Kilkerr, Deborah Kay Davies, Anjali Joseph, Amy Sackville, Caroline Smailes, Cathi Unsworth, Frances Kay, Catherine O’Flynn, Lois Walden & Louise Welsh.”
My event is on Sunday 21 Novemeber at 2pm, with Amy Sackville and Anjali Joseph. I’ll be talking about Like Bees to Honey, focusing on identity, secret longing, grief and family ties.
I’m planning on being in Brighton all weekend so that I can attend some of the other events. Hope to see some of you there!

What a superb group to be chosen to be a part of.
This must mean a great deal to you in terms of recognition and validation - precious commodities indeed for many writers in a profession full of knock-backs.
I really loved “What Was Lost” by Catherine O’ Flynn - a superb first novel - pacy and yet moving - qualities that you also achieved so well in your first novel “In Search of Adam.”
It’s too far for me to travel, but hope you get the chance to meet her- and blog on all those you meet.
You must be very excited and growing in confidence.
